where it all begins…
Marcia Harris was born in Gaspe, Quebec in 1974. Her interest in art began at an early age and entered many related contests in her formidable years. In 1992, now living in Alberta, Harris entered a national art contest for Canada's 125th. Her art was selected to represent Alberta, and her prize was to fly to Ottawa for the event which included meeting the Queen! In 1999 Harris married her husband , Brandon and together they moved to the Okanagan in British Columbia. In 2000 Harris entered the BFA program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and graduated with distinction in 2004 majoring in painting, drawing, photography and screenprint. Harris public and commercial shows throughout Western Canada and currently resides in Calgary with her husband, Brandon and son Thai and daughter Winter.
